As an orthodontist, I constantly seek out new ways to provide exceptional evidence-based orthodontic care, using contemporary and innovative techniques, to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes. Our patients deserve the best: the best orthodontic experience using the ideal procedures at the perfect time in order to achieve healthy and beautifully confident smiles!
Education and Experience
I was drawn to oral healthcare, and the orthodontic specialty, from a desire to be of service to others. Oral health is closely connected to overall wellness: straight, correctly positioned teeth improve the bite and jaw function, as well as enhancing self-esteem and confidence. Being an orthodontist allows me to craft healthy and aesthetically pleasing smiles, which can have a life-long impact on my patients’ quality of life.
I attended New York University College of Dentistry, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). My orthodontic residency, Master of Science (MS), and Certificate in Orthodontics were then completed at the University of Maryland Baltimore.
Orthodontics is a rewarding career, both professionally and personally. I spend my days interacting with people who have chosen to undertake treatment as a means of improving their lives. They are motivated, engaged, and excited about the prospect of changing their smile and each brings their unique outlook and personality to the process.
I enjoy getting to know each patient as an individual and sharing in their lives at this pivotal time. Throughout treatment, as I see each patient about once a month, we develop a rapport and I look forward to appointments as a time to both assess the treatment progress and hear their latest news. By the time an individual’s orthodontic experience is complete, they have a smile they love and I have a relationship that I value.
In addition to being in private practice at Prime Associates Orthodontics, I strive to live a life of service. Toward that end I have chosen to give back to the country as a Dental Corps Officer in the Army National Guard. It is an honor to see to the dental and mission readiness of our nation’s fighting force.
Additionally, our practice proactively seeks out opportunities to educate and support our local community. Giving back to the community where we practice and live ties in with our vision of developing trust and long-lasting relationships with our patients and their families.
